Mt. Kokushi-ga-take (国師ヶ岳) is a 2,592m peak rising on the main ridge of the Oku-Chichibu range, on the border of Yamanashi and Nagano Prefectures.
Walked together with the adjacent Mt. Kita-Okusenjo (2,601m), the route offers a sweeping panorama extending to the Southern Alps and Mt. Fuji. The out-and-back from Odarumi Pass has few difficult rocky sections, making it ideal as a step-up for beginner-to-intermediate climbers.
From Enzan Station on the JR Chuo Main Line, access Odarumi Pass by bus and taxi.

The shortest route is an out-and-back from Odarumi Pass. Via the “Yume-no-Teien (Dream Garden)” and grassy ridge walking, head to Mt. Kokushi-ga-take, then add about 5–10 minutes more to Mt. Kita-Okusenjo.
The main public-transport access is the Enzan Station ⇄ Odarumi Pass reservation-only tour bus (Eiwa Kotsu). Service days are Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays only (summer–autumn), so when planning, securing the return bus time should be the top priority.
