Mt. Daibosatsu (大菩薩嶺) is a 2,057m peak in Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, one of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains.
The ridge from Daibosatsu Pass to the summit is open, with sweeping panoramas of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps. It is popular among many climbers as a 100 Famous Japanese Mountain accessible as a day-hike from the Kanto area. The fresh greenery and autumn-foliage seasons are especially recommended.
From Kai-Yamato Station on the JR Chuo Main Line, access Kaminikkawa-toge by bus.

There are two trailheads: Kaminikkawa-toge and Daibosatsu-toge Trailhead.
From Kaminikkawa-toge to the summit takes 1 hour 15 minutes.
From Daibosatsu-toge Trailhead to the summit takes 4 hours 30 minutes.

1. [Outbound] Kai-Yamato Station → Kaminikkawa-toge

From JR Chuo Main Line Kai-Yamato Station, take the Eiwa Kotsu Bus “Daibosatsu Kaminikkawa-toge Line” and get off at Kaminikkawa-toge.
Travel time: 41 minutes
Fare: ¥1,020

The 2026 operating period is Saturday, April 18 – Sunday, December 13 on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, plus a portion of weekdays.
