Mount Fuji (富士山 Fuji-san) is the highest peak in Japan at 3,776m and one of the country’s most iconic landmarks. This page covers access via the Yoshida Trail (吉田ルート), the most popular of the four climbing routes, starting from the Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station on the Yamanashi side.
The climbing season is typically early July to early September. Buses run from Fujisan Station, Kawaguchiko Station, and Shinjuku Station to the 5th Station during the season.
