Fukushima(福島)

Mt. Bandai (1,816 m, Fukushima) — known as 'Aizu Fuji', this active volcano is one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains. From JR Inawashiro Station: taxi to the popular Happōdai trailhead, or Aizu Bus (April 1, 2026 schedule verified) to Bandai-san Funka Kinenkan-mae for Kawakami trailhead. 4-hour round-trip via Happōdai trail; Goshikinuma (5 colour ponds) created by the 1888 eruption.
