About Mt. Koganesawayama
The Shurei Fugaku Twelve Views are mountains chosen by Otsuki City for their outstanding views of Mt. Fuji, with 20 summits spread across numbers 1 to 12. Mt. Koganesawayama, paired with the neighbouring Mt. Ushiokunogangaharasuriyama, is counted as the 2nd-rank peak, and at 2,014m both form the highest pair among the Twelve Views. It sits in the northern part of the Koganesawa Range, which extends south from Mt. Daibosatsu, and the ridge offers especially fine views of Mt. Fuji. Following it south, the ridge connects to Mt. Otanigamaru by way of Mt. Kurodake and Yu-no-sawa Pass.
