Mt. Momokura

Mt. Momokura (百蔵山) is a 1,003m peak in Otsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture. One of the Twelve Famous Views of Mt. Fuji established by Otsuki City, the Mt. Fuji view from the summit at close range is splendid. Also selected as one of the 100 Famous Mountains of Yamanashi. The traverse course to the neighboring Mt. Ogi is popular, allowing you to enjoy mountain hiking visiting the Twelve Famous Views of Mt. Fuji. Spring cherry blossoms are also beautiful on this mountain.
From Saruhashi Station on the JR Chuo Main Line, access via bus to Fukusenji-mae, or by walking to the trailhead.

The two starting points for climbing Mt. Momokura are the Fukusenji-mae bus stop and Mt. Momokura Trailhead.
For those with physical strength, a course starting from Mt. Ogi, one of the Twelve Famous Views of Mt. Fuji, traversing in combination with Mt. Momokura, and descending to Saruhashi Station is also recommended.
