Mt. Adatara (安達太良山)

Mt. Adatara (安達太良山 Adatara-yama) is a mountain located in the central part of Fukushima Prefecture, with an elevation of 1,699.6 meters. The mountain has a generally gentle slope and is known for its accessibility even to beginners, thanks to the gondola lift operating from Okudake (奥岳) to Yakushidake (薬師岳), even in summer, which takes visitors up to around 1,300 meters.

Take the Fukushima Transportation bus to Okudake (奥岳) from in front of Nihonmatsu Station (二本松駅).

The Adatara Mountain Ropeway (あだたら山ロープウェイ) can be used from the Okudake Trailhead (奥岳登山口) to the Yakushidake Summit (薬師岳山頂).

Take the bus for Shiozawa Onsen (塩沢温泉) via school from Nihonmatsu Station (二本松駅) and get off at Shiozawa Onsen.
