Mt. Sennokurayama (仙ノ倉山)

Mt. Sennokurayama is a 2,026m peak straddling Gunma and Niigata Prefectures and the highest summit of the Tanigawa Mountain Range.

The mountain has a gentle profile with flower fields stretching across its slopes and offers excellent panoramic views, earning it a place among Japan’s 200 Famous Mountains. Hiking routes include a ridge traverse from Mt. Tanigawa’s Kata-no-Koya hut via Mt. Mantaro along the Joetsu border ridge, or an approach from the Tairappyo Trailhead at Motohashi in Yuzawa Town on National Route 17 via Mt. Tairappyo.
