Mt. Haruna

Mt. Harunasan is a 1,449m double-crater volcano in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, with multiple peaks surrounding Lake Haruna. Along with Mt. Akagi and Mt. Myogi, it is one of the Three Famous Mountains of Jomo, and has long been an object of mountain worship. From the lakeside, you can enjoy various courses including Mt. Haruna-Fuji (with ropeway), Mt. Kamongatake, and Mt. Soumayama.

1. Going: Takasaki Sta. → Harunako

From JR Takasaki Station west exit platform 2, take the Gunma Bus bound for Harunako and get off at the last stop, Harunako bus stop.

2. Return: Yaseone Pass → Shibukawa Sta.

From Yaseone Pass bus stop, take the Gunma Bus bound for Ikaho Bus Terminal and get off there. Then transfer to a Kan-Etsu Kotsu bus bound for Shibukawa Station.

Operating period: Year-round / Fare: 670 yen (Yaseone Pass to Ikaho BT) + 750 yen (Ikaho BT to Shibukawa Sta.) / Travel time: 31 min + approx. 30 min

3. Return: Harunako → Takasaki Sta.

From Harunako bus stop, take the Gunma Bus bound for Takasaki Station West Exit.
