Mt. Azumaya

Mt. Azumaya (四阿山) is a 2,354m peak located on the border of Ueda City in Nagano Prefecture and Tsumagoi Village in Gunma Prefecture. One of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains, the attractions are its gentle mountain form and 360-degree view from the summit. It is often climbed together with the adjacent Mt. Neko, and is also selected as one of the 100 Mountains of Flowers.
From Ueda Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, take a bus to Sugadaira Kogen Davos. From Sugadaira Pasture to the summit is about 2 hours 30 minutes.

When accessing by car, the route from Torii-toge is common, but here we introduce how to get to Sugadaira Kogen Davos (Sugadaira Pasture) on the west side, which can be reached by bus.
