Mt. Haruna (榛名山) is a 1,449m peak in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture — a double-walled volcano whose multiple peaks ring Lake Haruna.
Together with Mt. Akagi and Mt. Myogi, it is counted among the Three Mountains of Jomo and has long been an object of mountain worship.
Starting from the lakeshore, you can enjoy varied courses such as Haruna Fuji (with ropeway), Mt. Kamon-ga-take, and Mt. Soma.
From JR Takasaki Station, access Lake Haruna by local bus.

From JR Takasaki Station West Exit Platform 2, take the Gunma Bus “bound for Lake Haruna” and get off at the terminus, Lake Haruna bus stop.

From the Yaseone-toge bus stop, take the Gunma Bus “bound for Ikaho Bus Terminal” and get off at Ikaho Bus Terminal.
At Ikaho Bus Terminal, transfer to the Kan-etsu Kotsu “bound for Shibukawa Station” bus.
