Mt. Naragurayama (ならくらやま, 1,348m) on the Otsuki / Kosuge Village border, Yamanashi, is the 5th-rank peak of the Shurei Fugaku Twelve Views (single). About 1 hr walk from Tsurutoge Pass to the summit. Beginner-Intermediate ★★★・distance ~4 km・elevation gain 470 m・action time ~2 hours (out-and-back).
The traverse to Mt. Tsurune・Mt. O-Matei → descent to Kosuge-no-Yu (~4-5 hr) is also popular, attractive for the “Michi-no-Eki Kosuge” Kosuge-no-Yu onsen at the descent point. Summit offers Mt. Fuji views; one of the most easily accessible peaks among the Shurei Fugaku Twelve.

From Tokyo Station via local ~1 hr 35 min. From Osaka via Shinkansen ~4 hr. From overseas, Haneda Airport → Shinjuku is convenient. From Uenohara Station, Fujikyu Yamanashi Bus Tsurutoge line ~70 min.

Mt. Naragurayama trailhead Tsurutoge (1,000 m) is reached by Fujikyu Yamanashi Bus “Tsurutoge” line from JR Chuo Line Uenohara Station (~70 min・¥1,250), weekends / holidays only (no weekday service). Descent point Kosuge-no-Yu (680 m, Michi-no-Eki Kosuge) also accessed by Fujikyu Yamanashi Bus to Uenohara Station (~80 min・¥1,400). Private car: Chuo Expressway Otsuki IC → R139 → prefectural road to Tsurutoge parking (roadside 5 spaces) or Michi-no-Eki Kosuge parking (60 spaces, free).

About Mt. Naragurayama
At 1,348 m on the Otsuki / Kosuge Village border, Yamanashi. Selected as the 5th-rank peak (single) of Otsuki City’s Shurei Fugaku Twelve Views, and one of the 100 Famous Yamanashi Mountains. About 1 hr walk from Tsurutoge Pass to summit — one of the most accessible peaks among the Shurei Fugaku Twelve. Summit views: Mt. Fuji, Mt. Mitsutoge, the Daibosatsu Range. The “Michi-no-Eki Kosuge Kosuge-no-Yu” onsen at the descent point is the highlight, popular as a traverse route.

Climbing season / flora: Year-round possible (winter with light crampons). May-June: fresh greens, mitsuba-tsutsuji, October-November: autumn colors. Winter (Dec-Feb) has snow / ice but walkable with light crampons.

– Fujikyu Yamanashi Bus weekends / holidays only: Weekday access requires private car or walk
– No water source: Carry at least 1 L
– Verify traverse descent point: Kosuge-no-Yu descent with onsen is the classic
– Winter ice caution: Light crampons recommended
