Mt. Naragurayama (ならくらやま, 1,348m) on the Otsuki / Kosuge Village border, Yamanashi, is the 5th-rank peak of the Shurei Fugaku Twelve Views (single). About 1 hr walk from Tsurutoge Pass to the summit. Beginner-Intermediate ★★★・distance ~4 km・elevation gain 470 m・action time ~2 hours (out-and-back).

The traverse to Mt. Tsurune・Mt. O-Matei → descent to Kosuge-no-Yu (~4-5 hr) is also popular, attractive for the “Michi-no-Eki Kosuge” Kosuge-no-Yu onsen at the descent point. Summit offers Mt. Fuji views; one of the most easily accessible peaks among the Shurei Fugaku Twelve.

🚌 Fujikyu Yamanashi Bus・Uenohara Stn → Tsurutoge ~70 min・weekends only: Mt. Naragurayama access is by Fujikyu Yamanashi Bus “Tsurutoge” line from JR Chuo Line Uenohara Station (~70 min), weekends / holidays only (no weekday service: 8:14 dep / 8:32 dep Matsuhime-toge, etc.). Private car: Chuo Expressway Otsuki IC → R139 → prefectural road to Tsurutoge parking (limited), or from Kosuge side “Michi-no-Eki Kosuge” (Matsuhime-toge route start).
🌸 Descent: “Kosuge-no-Yu” onsen・Mt. Tsurune / O-Matei traverse recommended: Standard is the Tsurutoge → Mt. Naragurayama → Matsuhime-toge → Mt. Tsurune → Mt. O-Matei → Kosuge-no-Yu traverse (~5 hr); the descent at “Michi-no-Eki Kosuge Kosuge-no-Yu” (onsen ¥820・open-air bath・restaurant) is a key draw. No water sources on trail; carry at least 1 L. Year-round climbable (light crampons in winter).

Uenohara Station (JR Chuo Main Line) is the gateway for Mt. Naragurayama. From Shinjuku, JR Chuo Line Limited Express Kaiji ~55 min・¥2,900, or JR Chuo Line local ~1 hr 15 min・¥1,210. From Tokyo Station via local ~1 hr 35 min. From Osaka via Shinkansen ~4 hr. From overseas, Haneda Airport → Shinjuku is convenient. From Uenohara Station, Fujikyu Yamanashi Bus Tsurutoge line ~70 min.

About Mt. Naragurayama
At 1,348 m on the Otsuki / Kosuge Village border, Yamanashi. Selected as the 5th-rank peak (single) of Otsuki City’s Shurei Fugaku Twelve Views, and one of the 100 Famous Yamanashi Mountains. About 1 hr walk from Tsurutoge Pass to summit — one of the most accessible peaks among the Shurei Fugaku Twelve. Summit views: Mt. Fuji, Mt. Mitsutoge, the Daibosatsu Range. The “Michi-no-Eki Kosuge Kosuge-no-Yu” onsen at the descent point is the highlight, popular as a traverse route.
