Mt. Odake (大岳山) is a 1,266.5m peak on the border of Hinohara Village and Okutama Town in Tokyo. One of the Okutama Sanzan, it is also selected as one of the 200 Famous Japanese Mountains. From the pointed summit, the panoramic view of the Kanto Plain is splendid, and the traverse route from Mt. Mitake is popular. Autumn foliage and winter rime ice are also highlights.
The common access is via Mt. Mitake by bus and cable car from Mitake Station on the JR Ome Line.
It is counted as one of the 200 Famous Japanese Mountains, 100 Mountains of Flowers, and 100 Famous Mountains of Kanto. It has diverse climbing courses and is a mountain that can be enjoyed widely from beginners to experienced hikers.

There is also a course descending from Mt. Odake to Okutama Station; that course allows you to stop at “Moegi-no-Yu” near Okutama Station after descending.

a. From JR Mitake Station, exit the station and board the Nishi Tokyo Bus (Mi-10, Mi-11) at the bus stop on the left, getting off at “Cable Shita” (Takimoto Station)
b. From Cable Shita (Takimoto Station), head to “Cable Ue” (Mitakesan Station) by cable car.
