Mt. Kuroso (倶留尊山, 1037m) stands on the border of Nara and Mie prefectures and is listed among the Nihon Sanbyakumeizan (300 Famous Mountains of Japan).

The trailhead at Taroji is reached by Mie Kotsu bus from Nabari Station on the Kintetsu Osaka Line. During the autumn high season (October–November), direct buses to Soni Kogen are available on weekends, also stopping at Taroji.

1. Going: Nabari Sta. → Taroji

From Nabari Station (West Exit) on the Kintetsu Osaka Line, take the Mie Kotsu bus Soni-Kaochikei Line (Route 21, bound for Yamagasu-Nishi via Taroji) and get off at Taroji (officially: Taroji Kominkan-mae).

During the autumn high season (usually Oct 1 – Nov 30), Route 20 direct buses to Soni Kogen (via Taroji) are added, mainly on weekends/holidays. You can get off at Taroji along the way.

2. Return: Taroji → Nabari Sta.

From the Taroji bus stop, take the Mie Kotsu bus bound for Nabari-Ekimae and ride to the terminus.
