Odaigahara is a 1,695m mountain on the border of Nara and Mie Prefectures. It is counted among Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains.

1. Going: Yamato-Yagi Sta. / Kashihara-Jingu-mae Sta. → Odaigahara
Note: Some hiking guidebooks list Yamato-Kamiichi Station as the boarding station, but since 2022 the boarding stations have been changed to Yamato-Yagi Station and Kashihara-Jingu-mae Station.
From Kintetsu Yoshino Line Yamato-Yagi Station or Kashihara-Jingu-mae Station, take the Nara Kotsu Bus bound for Odaigahara and get off at Odaigahara.
Operating period: April 26 to November 24, 2025 (daily) / Travel time: 2 hrs 45 min to 3 hrs

From Odaigahara bus stop, take the Nara Kotsu Bus bound for Aeon Mall Kashihara and get off at Kashihara-Jingu-mae Station or Yamato-Yagi Station.
