Mt. Kogashi

Mt. Kogashiyama is a 583m mountain in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture. Beloved by Utsunomiya residents as a local satoyama, it offers over 100 diverse hiking routes ranging from rock-scrambling to leisurely walks. Utsunomiya City Forest Park at the mountain’s base serves as the starting point for hikes.

From the west exit bus stop at JR Utsunomiya Station, take the Kanto Bus bound for Shin-Kanuma via Arabari (Route 47) and get off at Shinrin Koen Iriguchi bus stop. From the bus stop, proceed through the Forest Park Management Center to the various trailheads.
