Mt. Ougi-yama (扇山)

Mount Ougi (扇山 Ougi-yama) is a 1,138m mountain located in the area of Otsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture. It is one of the “Shurei Fujigoko Twelve Scenic Spots” designated by Yamanashi City for its excellent landscape overlooking Mount Fuji, and is also counted among the “Yamanashi Hundred Mountains.”

To get to the trailhead of Ogisan, you can take a bus to Nashinoki-daira from JR Chuo Main Line’s “Torisawa Station,” or head to Inume by bus from JR “Shiotsu Station.”

Additionally, it’s common to traverse from Ogisan to Mount Hyakuzosan, which is also one of the “Shurei Fujigoko Twelve Scenic Spots(秀麗富嶽十二景)” and descend to Saruhashi Station.

How to Access the Trailhead

1. Going: Torisawa Station → Nashinoki-daira Bus Stop
2. Going: Shiotsu Station → Inume Bus Stop
3. Returning: Inume Bus Stop → Shiotsu Station

*There is no bus service from Nashinoki-daira back to Torisawa Station.

1. Going: Torisawa Station → Nashinoki-daira Bus Stop

The Fujikyu Yamanashi Bus operates as a “Hiking Bus” from the bus stop in front of JR Torisawa Station to Nashinoki-daira, only on weekends and holidays from April to July and September to November.

Note that it takes about 50 minutes to walk from Torisawa Station to Nashinoki-daira.
