扇山

Mt. Ougiyama is a 1,138m mountain located in Otsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture. It is one of the Shurei Fugaku Junikkei (秀麗富嶽十二景), a selection of twelve scenic viewpoints of Mt. Fuji designated by Otsuki City, and is also counted among the Yamanashi Hyakumeizan (Yamanashi 100 Famous Mountains).

To reach the trailhead of Mt. Ougiyama, take a bus from Torisawa Station (鳥沢駅) on the JR Chuo Main Line to Nashinokidaira (梨ノ木平), or from Shiotsu Station (四方津駅) to Inume (犬目).

It is also common to traverse from Mt. Ougiyama to Mt. Momokurayama, another peak in the Shurei Fugaku Junikkei, and descend to Saruhashi Station (猿橋駅).

*There is no return bus service from Nashinokidaira to Torisawa Station.

1. Going: Torisawa Sta. → Nashinokidaira

Fujikyu Yamanashi Bus (富士急山梨バス) operates a seasonal “Hiking Bus” from the bus stop in front of JR Torisawa Station (鳥沢駅) to Nashinokidaira (梨ノ木平). This bus runs only on weekends and holidays from April to July and September to December 21.

Travel time: approx. 10 min | Fare: 340 yen
If the hiking bus is not running, you can walk from Torisawa Station to the Nashinokidaira trailhead in about 50 minutes.
