Mt. Mitsutoge (三ツ峠山) is a 1,785m mountain located in Yamanashi Prefecture.
The name refers collectively to three peaks: Kaiun-yama (開運山, 1,785m), Misutaka-yama (御巣鷹山, 1,775m), and Kinashi-yama (木無山, 1,732m). The summit offers stunning views of Mt. Fuji.
Listed among Japan’s 200 Famous Mountains, it is also renowned as a rock climbing destination.

1. Getting There: Kawaguchiko Station (河口湖駅) → Mitsutoge Trailhead (三ツ峠登山口)
From Kawaguchiko Station (河口湖駅), take the Fujikyu Bus (富士急バス) “Tenkachaya Line” (天下茶屋線) and get off at Mitsutoge Tozanguchi (三ツ峠登山口) bus stop.

2. Return: Kawaguchi-kyoku-mae (河口局前) → Kawaguchiko Station (河口湖駅)
From Kawaguchi-kyoku-mae (河口局前) bus stop, take the Fujikyu Bus (富士急バス) “Kofu Line (Red Line)” (甲府線/レッドライン) and get off at Kawaguchiko Station.
