Mt. Washiba (鷲羽岳) is a 2,924m peak located on the border of Toyama and Nagano Prefectures, and one of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains.
It forms the core of the Northern Alps “Ura-Ginza traverse route,” and from the summit, a 360-degree grand panorama including Mt. Yari, Mt. Hotaka, Mt. Suisho, and Mt. Kurobegoro unfolds.
The spectacular view of Washiba-ike just below the summit together with Mt. Yari is known as one of the representative scenes of the Northern Alps. Shin-Hotaka Onsen is the main entry point.

This page introduces access by train and bus to Oritate, the trailhead of Mt. Washiba.
