Mt. Utsugi (空木岳) is a 2,864m peak straddling Komagane City and Iijima Town in Nagano Prefecture, one of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains.
The second-highest peak in the Central Alps (Kiso Range) after Mt. Kisokoma-ga-take, this challenging peak for fit climbers offers a white granite ridge and sweeping views of the Southern Alps and Mt. Ontake. Climbing from the Ikeyama Ridge is the most popular route, going from Komagaike through a forest road toward Mt. Utsugi.
From Komagane Station on the JR Iida Line, access the Ikeyama Forest Road terminus by taxi.

This page introduces bus access to Komagaike bus stop, the nearest stop to the Mt. Utsugi trailhead (Ikeyama Ridge Trailhead).
