Mt. Suishodake is a 2,986m peak located in Toyama Prefecture and one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains. Also known as Mt. Kurodake, it is a popular remote peak towering in the innermost part of the Northern Alps. The mountain gets its name from the quartz crystals found near the summit, and from the top you can enjoy panoramic views of the Ura-Ginza ridgeline and the Kurobe River headwaters.
The trailhead is Oridachi. Take a bus from Arimine-guchi Station on the Toyama Chiho Railway. The same trailhead is also used for Yakushidake and Kurobegoro-dake.
