Kitadake (3,193m) is a mountain in Minami-Alps City, Yamanashi Prefecture. It is the second highest peak in Japan, after Mt. Fuji, and one of the most prominent summits in the Southern Alps (Akaishi Mountains).

The trailhead is Hirogawara. Buses run from JR Kofu Station (seasonal). The same trailhead is also used for Ainodake.

Note: The Okakurasawa route (Shiraone-ike junction – Futamata) remains closed due to typhoon damage. Use the Shiraone-ike route (Kusasuberi or Migimata course) instead.
