Mt. Suisho (水晶岳) is a 2,986m peak in Toyama Prefecture, and one of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains.
Also called Mt. Kuro, it is popular as a hidden peak rising in the innermost part of the Northern Alps. The name comes from the fact that quartz (suisho) can be seen near the summit. From the summit, the Ura-Ginza ridge and the Kurobe headwaters region can be seen at a glance.
The common access is to head to Oritate by bus from Arimineguchi Station on the Toyama Chiho Railway, and access via Taroda-ira Hut.

This page introduces access to Oritate, the trailhead of Mt. Suisho, by train and bus.
