Aomori(青森) Mt. Iwaki
Mt. Iwaki (1,625m), known as Tsugaru Fuji, is a Top 100 Mountain in Aomori. From Hirosaki Bus Terminal, year-round Konan Bus reaches Dake Onsen-mae (¥500 capped). April 23 – October 31, the Skyline Shuttle takes you to the 8th station (¥1,200, 30 min) for a 2-hour summit hike via lift. Dake Course ~4h. Yayoi Course closed since Sept 2025.

JR Bus Tōhoku 'Mizuumi-gō' (summer) / 'Hakkōda-gō' (winter) direct from Aomori Station. The Ropeway-aided traverse over Mt. Ōdake to Sukayu Onsen via Kenashitai wetland is one of Japan's finest 4.5-hour hikes.
