Ome Hills (Ome Kyuryo) is a ridge area extending east to west in the Okutama area of Ome City, Tokyo. Centered on Mt. Raiden (494m), this long trail features gentle ups and downs typical of low mountains, and is attractive for its excellent “train access” allowing station-to-station hiking. There are many junctions along the way where you can descend to town, allowing you to adjust the distance to match your stamina and weather conditions. With scenic viewpoints like Yagura-dai, seasonal flowers, and autumn foliage, it is ideal for beginner to intermediate hiking.
This page shows how to get to Ikusabata Station, the starting point for the Ome Hills trail.
