Mt. Jii-ga-take
Mt. Jii-ga-take (爺ヶ岳) is a 2,670m peak straddling Toyama and Nagano Prefectures in the Ushiro-Tateyama Range of the Northern Alps.
Linking three peaks — North Peak, Main Peak (Central Peak), and South Peak — its southern slopes are colored by Komakusa and Hakusan-furo in early summer, and it is selected as one of the 100 Flowering Mountains.
It is also counted among the 300 Famous Japanese Mountains and the New 100 Famous Japanese Mountains, and day-hike climbs from the Kashiwabara-Shindo are popular.
This page introduces access to Ogizawa Station, the nearest stop to the Mt. Jii-ga-take Trailhead (Kashiwabara-Shindo entrance).
