Chubu(中部) has 136 mountains you can reach using only public transport — trains and buses. 51 of them are among Japan's 100 Famous Mountains. 2 can be climbed on foot straight from the station. Popular choices include Kirigamine, Mt. Aino, Mt. Aka and Mt. Akaishi. Each guide shows the route from the nearest station to the trailhead, with up-to-date bus timetables.
